Retired 10 years ago, at 55. I don’t watch tv……..never been healthier……..on ZERO medications. Only regret was I didn’t retire at 45

I have many ideas of what I want to do with my "free" time once I retire early (57-60). I have plenty of work to do around my house each day plus I want to travel, hike, visit kids, etc. I don't think I'll have any issues retiring early.

Raising taxes won't lessen inequality.

I worked with an engineer who retired early and then ended his life three months later. I spoke to him just before he killed himself and he said that he had no purpose in life. I said why did he retire early and he said that was the greatest mistake of his life. I agree that if you have no retirement plans either you find some or do not retire. The company had a very good pension plan and money was not the problem. I retired ten years ago and then started to work full time again to stay motivated. I plan to invest money even though I have very good investments.

I knew 3 guys that died within a year of retiring

For example, I live in India and still respect our old tradition. I will still have my mom aged 73 and I would be far more happy taking care of her and may be taking her to travel some places at her age 73. After working 17years I still believe that is far more "satisfactory" than having my boss (aka my master in this life) decide what will be my target this year and then he/she throwing some breadcum at me like "pat on the back" and training me to be a pet dog for rest of my life? I have seen few of my colleagues only to come home (travel to their native cities) just to burn the body of their dead relatives and spend some crocodile tear and boom next day back at office with a dog tag on neck.. and yeah India is becoming modern..so no traditional marriage also (thanks to USA) now a days your wife will be more loyal and faithful to her master (office boss) and u will be a toy husband replaceable. So should we still support this job and slavery as there is no point!

I tried to explain this to my mother, but she refuse to understand.

I absolutely love not having anything to do. After 52 years of answering to everyone else, I finally only answer to myself. I'm sure I will restructure my days eventually, but for now I do nothing and it feels so good to finally rest. It feels so good.

I retired early & I'm doing fine. I stay as busy as my energy allows. I try to make the world a better place, which gives me satisfaction.

Personally, I look forward to days of working out, practicing 3 musical instruments, and working more on investments and self-improvement. Today is not one of those days. 😁🍻

Politicians are ridiculous. My mom.could run the country s finances better. Enough is enough.

Long ago when I was working at home as an engineer I made the mistake of hiring the lowest paid accountant I could find to file my taxes. Never again. I also discovered that accountants are not responsible for their errors on your taxes. You are responsible for your taxes that they filed. I told the man that I wishedit was the same in engineering before I fired him.

I 100% agree with both sides on this weirdly enough. He is 100% right that it is an awful choice to doordash multiple times a day given the position that they are in. that’s just objective truth. however, he also says in the video itself that there’s nothing wrong with it. it’s jus not good. on the contrary, everyone saying it’s none of his buisness is also correct. she very well could be doing doordash on the side jus so she can do that and that’s well within her rights. maybe even why she lives there. at the same time, i don’t think he’s instructing her how to live, jus an observation and share of advice. i think everyone can get along here tbh, both things are true.

I have only been in one Uber ride when I was on vacation, and someone else arranged it. I seldom eat out and can't remember the last time I actually had food delivered. I have lived this house for 15 years and I don't think I have ever had food delivered here. And my wife makes great extra guacamole.

The crazy part is that door dash is losing money hand over fist so it's not really that expensive.. should be more expensive
